MamaBear’s Mac at Grainworks Grand Opening

Mac and Cheese Flight from MamaBear's Mac at Grainworks

MamaBear’s Mac kitchen is opening up in the Grainworks Brewing taproom!

MamaBear’s has consistently been one of our customers’ favorite food trucks, so we’re thrilled to be able to have their great food available in the taproom every day.

MamaBear’s Grainworks location will be serving some classic favorites, including their award-winning Mac and Cheese — now available in a “flight” with four varieties. They have also added new items to the menu, like their Vermont Farm Burger, The Italian, Vermont Grilled Cheese, and Grainworks Nachos.

MamaBear says she’s looking forward to finding ways to incorporate Grainworks beer into more of her recipes!

Pups and Pints

Pups & Pints Dog Adoption Event at Grainworks

Grainworks Brewing is hosting the first-ever Pups and Pints dog adoption event with the SPCA Cincinnati Mobile Adoption unit!

Here at Grainworks, we love our furry visitors– dogs are man’s best friend, and we truly believe in the Adopt Don’t Shop model– there are thousands of homeless pets out there who could be your perfect companion.

Because of this, we’re partnering with SPCA Cincinnati to host an adoption event at the brewery! You can come, see the pups, and even bring them home THAT DAY if you find your perfect companion.

We’re donating 10% of all drink sales this day to the SPCA, so make sure to put it on your calendar and come out to support humane animal welfare.

In addition, you’ll have the chance to make some money yourself with a split-the-pot fundraiser! You purchase tickets, the money goes into a pool, and at the end of the day the raffle gets split 50/50 with the winner taking home half of the pot and we’ll be donating the other half!

Our local PetSmart will be giving new pet owners Puppy Starter Kit coupon books as a donation to help mitigate the cost of new pets, and to make sure that each pup has what they need for their great new life!

Schedule

1-5pm – Krimmer’s Italianette
1-4pm – SPCA Mobile Adoption Unit
3pm – 50/50 Raffle Drawing
4pm – Ugliest Dog Contest
All Day – Grainworks Beer On-Tap, with 10% of all beer going to the SPCA!

Important!

Only one dog per handler, please.
All dog handlers must be over the age of 16.
Dogs attending must be on a non-retractable leash, no longer than 6-feet.
Dogs must be well-behaved and friendly with other dogs and humans.
You MUST clean up after your dog.
Guest’s dogs are NOT allowed inside of the taproom legally. They are also not allowed in back with the adoptable dogs without express permission from the SPCA Handlers in the event you’re adopting a dog and the handler deems it necessary.

Grainworks Employees reserve the right to remove any dog not offering a great experience to our guests, team, or guest’s animals. Failure to comply with ANY of the above rules (but not limited to) may warrant employees requiring guests and their pet to leave.

If you can’t make it out on October 2nd, or you’re wanting to hang out with the Grainworks Team and lots more dogs, we’re also hosting a team for the SPCA’s Tails on the Trail walk on October 15th!
Make sure to register to bring your dog on a super fun walk around the very cool Simmonds Family Farm & Dog Park! If you participate in the dog adoption event, you can even bring your new furry friend.

We’re kicking off the Greater Cincinnati Oktoberfest season with a day of beer, food, music, games, and fun!

FREE ADMISSION, ALL-AGES EVENT.

SCHEDULE:
3pm – Oktoberfest Märzen Keg Tapping
3pm – Mamabear’s Mac Food Truck
4pm – USSA OH State Championship Steinholding Qualifiers Begin
(new rounds every half hour)
7pm – Monte Lykins Acoustic
All Night – Music, Games, and Beer!

TRACHTEN IS ENCOURAGED!

We’ll start by tapping our seasonal Oktoberfest Märzen, and Mamabear’s Food Truck will be there with their usual menu plus some delicious German dishes to pair with our award-winning brews!

We’ll have German music going all day, and Monte Lykins playing live at 7pm.

This event will be a qualifying tournament for the United States Steinholding Association’s Ohio State Championship! Anyone is welcome to participate (new rounds every half hour) with both women’s and men’s competitions — the longest time of the night wins! We’ll be offering prizes for the winners, and they’ll go on to compete in the Ohio state finals on October 22nd at the Germania Society.

We’re thrilled that the Händlmaier Mustard Club Cincinnati is going to be there as volunteers helping us run the event! We appreciate them a lot, and know they’ll make the night even more fun.

Cincinnati’s Original Electrified Stein Slide will be there and you can win great Grainworks prizes. Each play on the booth ($1 for 3 slides) and entry into the Steinholding Competition (first try free, $1 extra tries) will help to raise money for the Cincinnati German Heritage Museum.
